Ice Fishing in the Arctic

Experience life like a local and try out ice fishing!

With an abundance of lakes to choose from, Porsanger is an ideal destination for ice fishing.

Our experienced local guide will take you on a short snowshoe hike until you reach the frozen lake. You will then learn about the history of ice fishing and what it means to the locals. With instruction from the guide, you will be able to drill your own hole, be given your own fishing equipment and reindeer fur to sit on.

Ice fishing isn’t a numbers game; but even if they’re not biting, we’re certain you’ll enjoy the peaceful and tranquil setting around you.

Our guide will provide a warm drink and snack, before you head back to the lodge.

For an action-packed day, we recommend booking this activity with our guided snowmobile tour.
